Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

Carrier Refund ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies, local storage, and similar web technologies to ensure the secure and efficient operation of our B2B SaaS platform. This Cookie Policy explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and the rights you have to control their use in accordance with global data protection regulations (such as GDPR and CCPA).

2. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Local storage is an industry-standard technology that allows a website or application to store information locally on your computer or mobile device. As an enterprise web application, Carrier Refund relies on these mechanisms primarily for session management and cryptographic security, rather than for marketing or advertising.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

We categorize the cookies and storage protocols used on our Platform as follows:

  • Strictly Necessary / Essential Cookies: These are fundamental to the operation of the Carrier Refund dashboard. They include authentication tokens (managed via Supabase) that keep you securely logged into your Merchant account, and security cookies that prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks during financial transactions via our payment gateway (Paddle).
  • Session Cookies: These are temporary files that exist only while your browser is open. They are securely deleted the moment you close your browser or log out of the Platform.
  • Persistent Cookies: These remain on your device for a pre-defined period. We use them to remember your regional settings, interface preferences, and to maintain continuous API integrations without requiring repeated authentication prompts.

4. Third-Party Technologies

Because we integrate with specialized external infrastructure to provide our B2B services, some cookies may be set by third parties. These include:

  • Authentication & Database Providers: (e.g., Supabase) for secure JWT token management.
  • Payment Processors: (e.g., Paddle) to process secure Top-Ups to your pre-paid wallet.
  • Logistics Oracles: Local storage states required to cache tracking data for faster dashboard rendering.

5. Managing and Disabling Cookies

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. However, please be advised that because our Platform relies heavily on Next.js client-side rendering and secure token validation, disabling strictly necessary cookies will severely degrade the functionality of the Platform and may render your Merchant dashboard and Wallet inaccessible.
